Spending the day barefoot is one of the true highlights of summer. There’s nothing better than kicking off our shoes and walking along the soft grass, beach sand or cool stone pathway. Barefoot and sandal weather can take a toll on the heals and balls of our feet leaving our toes begging for some summer TLC.
This foot soak blend is the perfect remedy for sore summer feet. We’ve chosen a special blend of salts, herbs and essential oils to soothe and soften rough skin, exfoliate and remove dead skin cells, eliminate odor and relax and rejuvenate the entire body.
(Makes 2 cups)
• 1 cup epsom salt
• 1/2 cup mineral salt
• 1 tablespoon French green clay
• 1 tablespoon willow bark
• 1 tablespoon dried calendula
• 1 tablespoon dried lavender
• 8 drops bergamot essential oil
• 8 drops clementine essential oil
• 4 drops tea tree essential oil
Combine the epsom salt, mineral salt and French green clay in a small bowl.
Then add in the essential oils, using a wooden spoon to mix thoroughly.
Finally mix in the willow bark, calendula and lavender. Stir until combined.
Poor foot soak blend into a cellophane bag or glass jar. Store in a cool, dark place and use within a few weeks.
HOW TO USE:
Fill a large bucket or bowl with warm/hot water and place in front of the chair where you will be sitting. Add 1 cup of the foot soak blend. Sitting with a towel ready, insert your feet into the warm water (you can use your feet to stir the salts around and help them dissolve). Allow your feet to soak for about 15 minutes or until the water has cooled.
