Spring is on its way and that means spring allergies are sneaking up on us too. I’m already starting to feel the itchy eyes and runny nose creep in so I decided to make up my own batch of allergy soothing bath salts for the spring season. Also, be sure to check out my favorite on-the-go remedy, Allergy Relief Oil Blend.
This recipe is both simple and effective when it comes to calming allergy symptoms. The blend of lavender, lemon and peppermint essential oils together creates a natural antihistamine which helps reduce inflammation in the body and eases allergy symptoms. Lavender, known for its ability to relax the body, is antibacterial and helps relieve pain and respiratory problems. Lemon is a natural antibiotic, antiviral, antiseptic and disinfectant. Peppermint helps ease nasal congestion and helps clear the respiratory tract.
Eucalyptus and tea tree are also known to help ease allergy symptoms. Feel free to add in a few drops of these two essential oils as well.
