History: Clove is an evergreen tree, which produces a flower bud that has numerous medicinal properties. Known for studding orange peels in mulled wine, cloves–which are actually unopened flower buds–are a popular culinary spice.

Therapeutic Properties: The therapeutic properties of clove are antimicrobial, antifungal, antiseptic, antiviral, analgesic, aphrodisiac and stimulating.
